    Questions:

How durable is Dow 7 coating?

Will it withstand high heat... like on an aluminum engine block?

What kind of maintenance is required to keep it up?

    TIA, JH

dow 7 coating is used on the valve covers and intake manifolds of Top Fuelers, these parts are magnesium.

I use marvel mystery oil to keep my old manifold looking good. Gibbs oil also works great.

Dow 7 is soft and scratches pretty easy.

I believe it is actually a kind of anodizing type process, that is fairly fragile. I had a customers Halibrand wheels matched to a Dow coat in a powder coat years ago, and the results were stunning.

Dude, that would be too cool!!! The person that would have pictures of that particular car would be Steve. It was a '49 Olds that he built for a friend about fifteen years ago. I was dealing in Halibrand wheels at the time and Daine hit me up for the wheels. By the way, sorry I missed you guys on Saturday, big doins' around my end of town - we might be getting a Billitproof show(maybe) MMMMMmmmm burgerworks.....
