Today at the LA Roadsters show I met Ralph Whitworth, and found him to be a very nice person. I had gone over to talk to Snake he had his Funny car and Hauler there, While talking to Snake he introduced me to Ralph, after a bit Ralph asked me if I Knew of the Tom Cobbs Roadster. I told him I was 64 and may have heard of it/him but couldn't remember it/him. And Ralph took me to school. Tom Cobbs what a guy RYAN did a multi-part story on Tom Cobbs it's worth a PEEK . Ralph Whitworth sold the 1958 T-Bird that Larry Watson had bought new, to me at the RM auction at the Peterson last year, Bob Barnes did the bidding for me. Ralph still has the Cobbs roadster and some historical engines that were on display at the LA Roadster this weekend. Roger
Really enjoyed meeting you too. Glad to see the car is in good hands and that it's back at Larry's where it and his guests can enjoy it! Very cl***y gesture by you to put it there. Ralph
Hey Roger, Here is a pic of Larry's T-Bird "Vino Paisano" I took in Long Beach shortly after you got it. You, Larry and Randy together was a treat. Randy's tribute to Larry's "G****vine" is cool too. I know what an influence Larry is in the style of your cars. Marie's Caddy, the 57 "pink" Caddy, Your 36 Roadster.....All *****en car's And the best of all ..... the T-Bird in Larry's museum.
