i just thought id throw this idea out there. there are a lot of guys in our area. so i figured sometime this summer, we could possibly do a hamb get together? maybe at a park, or someones house, or something like that? id offer up my house, but i have no parking, and it would be a pain in the ass. ill provide as much food as i can finacially support. so whatta ya say? anyone up for it?

I was thinking about having something at my place in Abilene this Spring for all the Kansas HAMBers. And was planning on inviting CO, NE, OK guys too. But nobody from Wyoming, that's just too FAR! LOL j/k.

  3. I do my run in conjunction with the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August. We had a blast last year! It is invite only, I try to keep a certain "vibe" to the cars and the people.

Im in the Milliken/Greeley area and am happy to offer my house as the meeting place. I live on a large culdasac so there is plenty of street parking and little to no traffic on my street .

  8. Rally is indeed in August. I do mine the first weekend of the rally which starts on the Monday of the first full week of the month........clear? That weekend isnt really as crowded as later in the week, we got around fine with the hotrods and bikes on that Saturday. MilesM made it from Pehonix Az and Eyeballl and his entourage came down from Nodak. We had some cool locals with us as well. Did I mention free camping and beer/food?

Where the hell is Abilene? Does it get hot there? Is it humid? What about tornados? Are there bugs? Snakes?

I'd be up for a HAMB gathering somewhere on this side of the country this summer...let me know when and where.

Great idea; I'm up for it. I can bring some tamales and green chili. My altered won't be up by then but I can drive my '60s Wagoneer. If you squint your eyes enough it looks a little like a gasser!

  12. Just don't make it during Bonneville Speed Week [bowing and kneeling down to the west]. And don't make it during the HAMB drags.

So is this still in the works or did it pretty much die. I'm still down for going and should actually be able to bring my car.

I'd still be down with it.

If it is here (Colorado), we should do it in conjunction with something else, like the Good Guys show or Streamline open house or an event at Bandimere Speedway, etc.

Maybe plan a bunch of junkyard tours too.

    Just a thought.

  21. Sounds good to me. I have been thinking of doing something like this too, just need to get my pile road worthy again.

FYI just a little rumor going around but the Great American Race, or whatever they call it, might be stopping here in Rock Springs, Wyoming July 8th or 9th. Now this is just a rumor, but it seems pretty serious. I may have gotten roped into being on the committee because of 'civic duties'. You didn't hear this from me.

But yeah I am down for some cars, beers, and good people.

I go to Martin's about twice a month to wander around, although lately his selection of old stuff is getting smaller there's a fresh 50ft by about 200ft open area that used to have a car i wanted in it, really sucks. But tomorrow I'm picking up my first buy from him in about 20+ trips, a Model-T frame.

On the gathering note I'm down for going to anything up to about 4 hours or so away.

I've been watching the thread since it started. I'll go where ever you guys want to meet. The only things I have planned for the summer are the openhouse here in Laramie, Paso Robles and Speedweek. I would love to caravan with a bunch of people to Paso. Right now it's just myself in the '50 and Poop in his deuce and possibly a friend from Pinkees in ??
