I'm with Chili Phil on this one. Even if a car is very deserving of the cover, a shot of it with a distracting background lessens the impact of the car. Consider Django's calenders and the photos chosen. I'd rather see a beautiful photo an average car rather than a poor photo of a GREAT car.

Having made my own magazines every now and again, I certainly applaud your efforts. It's not easy, and drains my checking account every time. All the best. I will definitely support the cause for anyone who has the balls to take a chance and give it a go. Kudos!!!

Wait, these are the actual pictures that will be on the cover? I thought we we voting for the car that will be shot for the cover. Take notes from Church. He's the most dialed in Designer this message board has.

Get someone to proofread your book for EVERYTHING.
NEVER use red text over black or vis-versa. Don't get cute with fonts at the expense of being edgy or creative. Readability is the goal. Be ready to make changes at your first sign off of the mag from the printer. Don't run ads in your ad supplement part with out making sure they are legible. Nothing looks worse than ads that are too small to read, because the client is sending stuff formated for full page. Fix it right. Things like that make the magazine worth buying and make it worthwhile for the advertisers.

Like Coby said, my hat's off to you for doing this. It takes a lot to do it and it's good for the custom guys.

I want one when you're ready to go.

In that case please change my vote to CANNON BALL. The photo shown didn't do justice to the car.

Wow, it's really an honor to even be considered on this thread. All of these cars are just so beautiful and so well built.

The "Cannon Ball" may be running away with the vote, but at least my last name isn't pronounced "goat-lick"... :)

Actually a shot with a taildragger and a 50's Kustom on the cover would be pretty cool too. When I think of Kustoms there are two general styles.

    Just my opinion.........
