Hot Rods Dry lakes/hvy chop 32 three win chop pics?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Dirtyest Devil, Jun 22, 2010.

  1. Anyone have any good pics of chops for a 32 three window?

Good or bad chops... I wanna go low!

I recently aquired a real nice 32 three window body, and a month before, a nice B ch***is. So I guess I'm building another car. I'm really a 34 guy.... love 33/34 roadster and coupes, and never payed much attention to 32's. But they keep finding me.

So... in order to own a 32 three window that doesn't look like every other, I'm going chop the **** out of a nice body. Go ahead... hate me. Don't worry, I'll save the pieces.

Looking for pics... gone right or wrong.

Wondering what a chopped and layed back front window and A pillars might look like? I can't work a photo shop program... so I will be blowing up photos of my car, and cutting and splicing, hahahaaa.

Thanks for any help with pics...

I've also been saving some goodies for a nice early fifties build which will become an ample part of the car. Think its going to get a roll bar, and see some track time too, street and stip for sure. I've already got a decent cruiser.

Your on fire dude!!! First the '32 Roadster, then the baby now a coupe!!!! Who said kids slow ya down?? Hahaha!! Walden speed Shop chops a nice 32 3 window.

Here's one. I always loved the Lloyd Baken coupe's chop. It's super hard but still cl***y.

I can't wait to see this thing progress. You seem to build the cars that are in my head and heart.

  13. hahaha... killer to hang with you at LARS my friend. Don't need blades... but come over and take a look before I finish weld please...

Every year I learn a lot while out in Ca., hanging with some Gents. One year I had dinner with B***... picked his brain, this year Rudy Rodriquez, etc. etc.

So... I have learned that some take their time... and some get it over with. While still doing a killer job! Most everything I've chopped, I 've done for others... time is money, and you move fast through them. This time, I wanna take my time, do it right, we can do it baby... Probably be my only nice 32 three window for awhile if not ever. So I wanna take it slower, not rush, and nail it.

  17. hahaha... ahhh, didn't wanna really show it off. Not done yet, and sometimes I feel like it seems like... look what I did... There are way more talented people on here then me and we have all sen a zillion roadsters. Don't like them much myself... I just wanted some pics of some rooves for my chop.

Although... my three window body is going to sit on the roadster ch***is with some upgrades, and my roadster is going on my new/old B ch***is I found. Everything is getting re worked basically.

Mel, you need to relive yourself of them 32's:D I know your a 33-34 guy and I'm the 32 guy so come on over and relive me of my 33 Pheaton. Come and get all that dirty old NOS goodies of mine for the tub and that extra truck load of parts I have . Put some wind into your hair and a large space to put your family in the backseat. You do know chopping a car will only take extra time and is dangerous:D I'm here to help ya out Buddy:D Congratulations!

  21. Ahhh hahahaaaaaa...

Think I'm going to build it, then sell it. I need a 34 roadster! But I wanna chop the **** out of a 32 just cause most wouldn't ... to a clean unchopped 32 anyway. Of course people would... but I haven't seen what I wanna see yet, so I gotta do it while I have the chance.

hey mel, you know the original oilers had a real heavy chopped 3w drag/lakes car. windshield was 4", buck has the roof off it. body had another roof put on it years back to build a street car, not sure if buck would sell it or if you'd even want to go that route as the body you bought looked real good in the pictures but if you want a piece of an og oilers car that'd be it.

  25. Man... I wanna chop my roof, but I'd still love to have that roof. Came close to getting a Don Cox flathead and blower set up this weekend, but it didn't happen. Think I told you in your pops garage? Great seeing you, the BBQ was killer by the way! Keep me posted on the other 34 thing too...

I feel like heavily chopped cars almost always need a hood!!! It just streamlines things.

  27. Yeah Whitey... now we are getting closer! Think I'm going to keep mine kinda tall though. I'll be using my roadsters ch***is... adding a NOS Magnesium quickie, Zephyr gears, either my 49 Cad-do or my Navarro speed equipped 59A. Probably going to use the Caddy as I can afford to do over the 59 yet. *** still hurts from the 32 body!

May use a 37 tube too... we'll see.

  28. Yup, getting a hood. A crusty 25 lover I've got.

Premise is... tall, small roof, big wheels. Bought some nice 18" slicks of Verne too.

  29. Deck lid is also getting louvered too... only piece of metal not attached to body right now. I might have some pics when my bud owned it, I'll see...

  30. Showing you this picture of my three window is like saying...

"hey, look at my ***** in this hay stack".
