1938-39 Ford tail light lens S.A.E./ D.O.T.

    Where can I find some? Can't get the car on the road without SAE lenses.

    Went for inspection and the lenses are the only thing holding the car from p***ing.

    They will not p*** your car for inspection because the lenses that you currently have installed in the car are not original?

    The lenses do not have the SAE or DOT stamp on them, so they won't p*** the car.

    Yeah there hitting harder this year, applies to motorcycles as well.

    That is kinda funny as you are in Quebec and I thought the DOT was a United States agency, the other thing I would think the new plastic lenses would be more safety friendly then the old style gl*** lenses.

    No one makes a 39 lense with the sae marking. If your car was made prior to regulations you state that the lenses are original manufactured part and made prior to regulations regarding lighting and meet requirements of a vehicle of the year of MFG. If you are using these on a vehicle that was made when lighting standards were applied the inspector is correct and you need another set of lights.
