Just about ready to fire it up, need to run the fuel line and a couple other little things. For some reason I mounted the elec. pump on the left frame rail. Plumbing it I gots a issue! Needs to get to the right side rear of the engine. Can I simply take it over the bellhousing or would it be better to route under it or on the trans crossmember? I kind of want it someplace where if I need to remove something (engine/trans/etc) I don't need to disconnect the line. Thanks
Put a fuel block on the firewall and feed the carb from that. Saves running fuel line across the underneath of the car.
You don't really want it near the bellhousing in case "something" gives up the ghost and parts fly out of it which could cut the fuel line and boom big fire.
That would be simple. Although anyone who has worked on or seriously checked out a FI mid/late 70's Cadillac Seville will tell you that the fuel line routes down the left frame rail (or what serves as a frame rail) and up the back side of the block next to the bellhousing. That one has a short piece of flex hose between the line on the frame and the line on the engine. I'm liking the fuel block idea though.
