There's a Canadian Rodder cross country tour that will be in Calgary on July 12th at Ted Allan's Rod Shop and that night at the Travel lodge Airport. It's listed in the website from English Bob. If you come by look for my blue 29 and stop by to say Hi

G'day , just got back yesterday , NHRA was great , aim for a Wednesday as there is a very cool Cruise night in the carpark of NHRA , Peirson coupe is there at the moment . So-cal is close by , they do tours at 11am and 2pm I think , was good also . Petersen Museum was great as well and there was some history in that place , Doane Spencer Roadster , Roths outlaw a****st others . We also went to a great Museum north called the Nettercutt Collection , more resto's but Bob McGee Roadster and Gammel 3 window were there on behalf of Bruce Meyer . Unbelieveable collection if you have time .

Have a great trip , cad

Petersen's Automotive Museum on the corner of Fairfax Ave and Wilshire Blvd is a must-see if you're interested in the history of car culture in the USA. The area is my old stomping ground from my misspent youth in the 1960s.

You Aussies are so predictable. Calgary Stampede.

Hope you have a great time. For a great steak try the SaltLik in downtown Calgary.

  14. Bob,
Thanks for the links, they both look great a good shop and informative site.

    Rochie,
I will try to get to that show (I did a deal with the devil (my sister) that I could choose what we do in LA and she could choose Canada big mistake) it sounds good and will definitely look for you and your sweet car.

    choptop4,
I've been told Petersons is good so it’s on the list but didn't think of nhra so that’s now on the list.

    390cad,
I'm getting goosebumps thinking about seeing the real cars, I just googled Nettercutt Collection and will be visiting there those cars are works of art.

    64 wildcat,
I’ll be going there I’m very interested in the history of the car culture over there, you must have some good stories from the 60's.

    George G,
Funny you should day that I didn't know it was on until I told my best mate where I was going he's right into horses etc, Talk about jealous.
Although I do plan to go there, everyone loves a rodeo.
The steakhouse looks flashy, have to give that a shot.

Thanks everyone, this gives me a good insight into the real things to do.
