  1. What size rims you running in back?

My best 60's on drag radials range from 1.35 (turbo, supercharger) and 1.48 (NA).

I think a fresh set of MT 235's or 275/50's would help.

I would not add more gear at this point, the 4L60E has a deep 3.06 first gear so with a 26" tire and 3.50's out back it should leave decent.

A 1.6 60' and a trap mph of 120+ should be good enough to get you into the 10.8's or so if not a bit deeper. See right et http://www.pbase.com/brahm/image/107439819 You've got a better 60's, and a better top end mph. So somewhere in the middle you slowed down a bit, and then pulled some great mph to get back up there on the top end.

I bet you get rid of that 2nd gear "spin" and you there. I'd try airing down the radials maybe 16-18psi and there is no need to do a big burnout with them just a quick scrub. (if you aren't already).

I still think the gear swap would help then you can go with a taller tire that will give you a better foot print which will help with your shifting traction and you won't loose mph, and in theory should end up at a similar RPM

the rear wheels and tires are 15x10 with a 275-50 right now i like the way they look on the truck so probably end up with the same size when i go to new tires. and brahm i dont know what car that timeslip is for but damn that thing must be making a ton of mid range power cause other than the 1/4 speed and 60' all the other numbers are better than mine. i have faith that i can get into the tens, im not plannin on changin to much on the truck other than tuning, i like the setup ive got pretty good right now, i mean lets face it, it may not have been a 10 but running 11.04 not to dang bad

I would've been unbolting as much as I could to just get that 10 second slip, way to go man, that's a fast ol hot rod.

  6. Damn... just friggen missed the tens!

    What was your sixty footers?

That's haulin ***... most people running those mph numbers are in the tens.

Hell of a lot better et than I could muster out of my Roadster... best was 11.70 at 123 mph... but my sixty footers were all close to 2 seconds.

    What kind of rear tires?

thanks again for the compliments fellas

  8. I had an OT car that was going 11.dohs@122 for a while, and with no changes except more seat time I did eventually run 10.92@123 on a 1.48.

I think a fresh set of MT 275-50's at 16 psi cold to start is what I'd do. Your just a little traction or a little better DA away from a 10.9 p***. Your 1/8 is very strong with 99 mph.

So after you go 10.9x come back and we'll talk about a converter swap. :) I got that OT car to 10.7@125 with more converter and a better intake. :)

i dont disagree john other than tires, i think more seat time and a little tuning i'll get there. AHotRod, the intake is an edelbrock performer rpm air gap that has been port matched to the heads, i've ran a few different manifolds and this seems to be the best of both worlds, street and performance, my carb is a 750 demon

Brother......I must tell you again that I'm extremely impressed with the performance of your "A" HotRod :)
I'm working on my Purple "A" Coupe now, and I to would be satisfied if I can get me a 7.00 1/8 mile E.T. driving it in off the street.
    I have faith !
