  1. well yesterday we tryed to have a local mini bike race here on long island .
    thats new york .
there were no fatalitys, but there were a few injurys and some bent bikes ,
oh and a few dented dumpsters . In the end there was a winner .
he's a local fender and body work guy. but does race go carts and did cheat a bit . there were acouple guys who didn't understand the rules but we consider this more of a test and tune session so we let them run anyway .
when you say in the rules nobody with over a 5.5 horse motor and they show up with a enduro rupp, or a detuned alcohol motor, or even a old track bike with a 2cycle engine on it.
well theres bound to be problems . But it was a blast and we plan on doing it again soon, but we will have to find a different location cause as always what starts out to be just for FUN ends up being a competition .
hope you enjoy the pictures i will try to load a video or 2 .I just cant figure that part out so here we go
here is shyann the firsrt victum of the day she dumped it when one of the racers was turning around his car she hit the grass and the bike only scuffed garys tire on his orange flaked model A .the car was ok.

here is the president of the blvd bombers little joe getting ready to rip it up.
these would be the winners of the first 3 heats .
and would come in the 1,2,3, from left to right.

oh and this would be the the guy who crashed the most but he keeped pushing . they said that he actually went in between the dumpsters and scuffed the wall and just kept on going I even think there might be video of it too I hope so.garys the guy on the left great engine builder too.
sorry dude can't remember your name you can tell who he is hes the one with the look of pain on his face

I bought one from a friend in 1975 for 15 bucks sans engine. Had to push it home 3 miles. Put a 5hp Teccumseh back in it and it moved pretty good.

  20. I have two Fantic Super Rocket minibikes and they are very cool and not easy to find in Europe.
They have a 4 speed Minarelli engine and even with my 6'1" driveable.

Nice to see them all around the globe

  21. Dude got any pictures of what they drove over on your side of the world back in the day.

  22. Ok bob will write it on here and hope we won't get busted haha.

  23. Minibikes were and are rare in Holland and most of them ain't street legal.

The mopeds we drove were Zundapp, Kreidler, Puch, Tomos and later Honda and Yamaha.
Italians were also available like Garelli, Benelli and Fantic.
Dutch mopeds were available until about 1980 and there were about 100 different factories like Batavus, Union, Magneet, Sparta, Gazelle and plenty more.

Here is a bad pic. of my Fantic Super Rocket without tank, buddy and fenders
The blue thing with "Champion" decal on the right is my other older Super Rocket.
The other pic. is my 70's Zundapp in 1984 (at the age of 16)
