So I've been doing some organization at the Barris shop when I came across some really cool old show posters that George saved.. I'm thinking about reprinting these (exactly how they look all old and stuff) would you buy something like this if there cheep? either way there pretty cool... Lets see yours..
I guess all over.. On poles, Fences and shops.. I would scan them just as they are.. I think it would be cool to have these hanging in your shop..
Evel, how do you get all these cool jobs to do? Do you need a personal ***istant or a gopher? I would like to apply for that position if possible.
Some very cool stuff there for sure. I have a few stuck on the walls in my shop as well. Anyone notice how there is seldom a YEAR on those things... Didn't they know we would be collecting them as part of our history?? -Dave
i dont have any old ones, but i make new ones by hand that pay homage to the old ones. and i would definitely buy some of those for the shop if you reprinted them.
Evel those are a cool find I diff would buy some of those re-printed.I think there is a good market for nostalgic print material.Would be awesome in the shop keep us posted.
I took a picture of this one at the Detroit Autorama, and rebuilt it kinda in Illustrator using fonts I had on hand and a postorized picture of the outlaw from the internet... printed out 2 for myself on a big inkjet... Would have been a lot easier to just send a paypal to Mad Fabricators...
These are great! Thanx for posting them, and yes, I do believe there is a [substantial] market for reprints. Not being terribly computer literate and still using film, I cant presently post photos of mine. But its interesting ; I ***ume ISCA or whomever the sanctioning body was must have had a "stock" poster for a given season, because yours are from California and look amazingly similar to mine from Tulsa. hmmmm
Thank god there are people who can't throw stuff away ! Old Car Show and Concert posters are a cool artform ! I like the Lewiston Idaho poster .
