I used a Speedway Remote Oil Filter Adapter on my Model T RPU and the damn thing leaks between the oil filter and the adapter. Not a real bad leak but enough to be a pain in the ***.

It's not the oil filter 'cause I am on my 3rd Bosch oil filter and they have all leaked.

Anybody else ever had this problem and come up with a fix short of replacing the adapter?

    Thanks...

  2. Made in CHINKLAND?? It's possible the thread sleeve is not true to the gasket face.

the mating face is clean with no gouges and no old gasket stuck on there? It would need to be way out of square to leak. maybe the threads on the filter are bottoming before the gasket gets tight. call speedway

The next me you have the filter off, check the seal all the way around with a feeler gauge or piece of paper to see if it is seating the gasket. Another way would be put some grease on the filter gasket and tighten it down to where it starts to seat then pull it off and see if you have a ring of grease on the adapter.
