Info on this Olds powered Drag car from New Orleans from 1959

I dont know too much about it other than the guy 2nd from the right is Bear Barrileaux a life long friend of my family and VW racer. I have little info on the pic other than it was out of New Orleans and ran a blown olds...

 

bump. I just thought it was a cool pic. I dug it out while finally unpacking the garage.

I took the liberty of posting this on the Standard 1320 group, as I knew there were at least two members who hailed from the New Orleans area.

Both Glen Cupit and Don Prieto ID'd the car as belonging to "Boogie" Scott - the fellow on the far right. I beleive they said he was still alive and kicking and living in the N.O. area.

I dont know a thing about the car but that is one awesome photograph. Its true, a picture is worth a thousand words.

 

Boggie Scott runs a modified roadster at Bonneville, At least the last 2 years I was there.

 

I did some internet surfing And I found a phone number that might be his. I'll try it tomorrow and see if its him. I would to get him a copy of this picture...

Boogie lives in Abita Springs,La. He is probably listed as Charles Scott.He is still building cars and now running b-ville since 2000.He is a good friend with a friend of mine so if you can't get in touch with him send me a pm I'll get a phone number for you.
