The project is progressing. Body and doors are now in a primer, blocking to continue. rear fenders fit OK, still need some alignment. Found a 2000 Blazer read end with disc brakes, going to work great. I had to extend the frame 7.5 inches to accomodate a rear mounted gas tank. I am making a metal sea chest to hold the tank. Finally got the PEVR valve needed for the Buick V-6 Turbo motor, so will be monted shortly. Any comment on the Sea Chest or designs are welcome. Top interior will be OAK. Dan, that looks like a real solid project you've got going. I'm not sure about what you mean by a sea chest, unless you're talking about a steamer trunk, maybe. I would suggest taking a look in eBay Motors, under Parts, Antique, and look at trunks, luggage chests and luggage racks. Sellers sometimes ask for stupid money for the racks, but I've bought a couple in the $75-150 range, including shipping. Got one last month for $50 plus ship. The add-on trunks are also sometimes called a Potter's Trunk. A luggage rack w/ a vintage trunk could add a really nice look to a fendered car. Later, *****6
Here are more pix. The frame has been extended 7.5 inches. '79 V-6 Buick turbo is setting in the frame for alignment and spacing with the radiator. Body will be placed on the frame for fit in a couple of weeks. Took some time to match up that 82 yearold metal after repairs. Dan
Here is an update on the '28 Es***. 231 V-6 Buick turbo, 0.040 over. 30 days to interior. The trunk is actually a gas tank holder. It is trimmed in walnut. Enjoy
