Well we took a little trip up to Cordova IL to check out the Nostalgia Drags at Cordova Dragway. It was well worth the trip and the money to get in. I never got a chance to see these old machines run in there Glory Days since I am only 22 i was kinda late for them. But this was a grewat look at what these guys used to run it was my first time seeing old nitro cars, front engine rails, and the old funny cars. We got to see a few cars break the 5 second p***es. The Geezer G***ers had some great rides out there as well. I will defanitly be going back next year for there Nostalgia Drags. Sorry for the quality of some of the pics there the best I could do.

I was wondering if any other HAMBers were there what they thought of it. I heard it was small compared to years past.

Nice job on the pics man. They look great. That's a lot like it was back in the day except the stands would have been full. The tracks would be full for a g***er meet. Thanks for posting the pics.

  13. I wasted my time at Pinks All Out in Joliet, IL. Didn't know about Cordova but I'll have to attend next year when my Austin is completed.

Thanks for the pics. Didn't know it was even going on. How did Arnie's 66' run? Have only seen it with no motor in it for years.

Nice photos, thanks for posting them. It looks like you got to see a lot of cool old cars. Seeing those Arnie Beswick cars and Pure Hell brings back good memories for me.

I've been everywhere man!! Even ol' Johnny Cash would be envious of the great places this forum takes me. All over the planet and never leave the comfy chair. Thanx for cool coverage of another world cl*** event. ~Sololobo~

Neat stuff... except possibly for this car. Could this be the strangest paint job on an old Mopar, ever? Gary

Dang! I wish I would've know about this! Do they do this often, or only once a year?

    once per year.

mark you calendar for the special event this fall at Muncie. First weekend in October. They are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the track and we will be putting on a big show.

They said that was the first time that car ran down a track since 1970 or so. I think it ran in the high 12s low 13s I cant remember they said it was close to what it ran back in the day it was cool to see that little piece of history breathing again. Arnie himself was still running cars down the track at around 7 seconds not bad for a guy thats 80
