i got my doors off of my 1933 oldsmobile. as one would suspect the door pins and bushings are junk. i dont think a trip down to autozone or napa is going to help me.

i have alot of measurements for these pins and bushings.

does anybody know where i could get some? does anybody have any measurements from other rides so i could compair if they will work for me?

    i need some help guys.

    thank you
    terry

How about listing the dimensions as long as you have them? They might just be interchangable with other GM pins.

I did a search on HINGE PIN REPAIR and there were a couple of threads that would help you out. Haven't figured how to post the thread number yet so you will need to do the search to see the results.

Ok...I haven't done this yet, but you might be wrong on Autozone...

When I looked up hinge pins (either on IandI Reproductions or Chevies of the 40's website), it listed for like 31 thu 99! You can buy replacement hinge pins and bushings for later model vehicles at Autozone and Advanced (usually with the miscellaneous clips and stuff). Last time I was there, I looked to see what they have and they had a couple different sizes. Since I didn't know my diameters for the bushings and pins (really only need to ensure the bushing outside diameter is right), I didn't pick any up.

Actually, now that I typed all that I looked up a 1933 Oldsmobile Eight, and the Autozone part number is 38455. They are in stock at my local Autozone for $24.99 This is different than what I was talking about above, so there may be other options.

    Here's a link:

ok, i found some. there for a ford. the pin is about 1/2" longer than what i have and the bushing is 1.5mm larger than stock. i have 1 door done. i have to return 1 of the kits because they didnt put any bushings in it.

i forgot to bring the package, so ill post the part number tomorrow.

also the part number you gave me also came up for me when i did autozone on my computer. but autozone them selfs could not get any number to come up. when they ran the 38455 number it came up for a forghen(sp) car.

ok heres the part number i used. 38438 from auto zone. the pins are the same od as the oem. the bushings are a tad under 1/2" so i had to drill out the door hinge for them. but the good thing is i removed the egg shape when i had to drill them out. also the pin is about a 1/2" longer than oem. i think i will cut them down and see what happens
