Well I finally got to the point where I am ready to tear it down to finish welding and paint the frame. I am still shooting for Invasion (hopefully sooner) Sorry these pics are a little dark , cell phone at dusk

oh and there are somethings that are going to change when it goes back together--- tappet covers , distributor ect.. and I'm thinking about a tunnel ram, I know where a single carb set up is cheap right now.

Great lookin' project! Love the tall factor, it has that wacky look.

  7. How about cowl steering in which the box AND pitman arm are in the cab, with a little opening or blister that allows the draglink to exit (and perhaps a bit of the end of the pitman with full left turn). Wouldn't be the most weather tight feature but might make steering easier than finding room for a column and frame mounted box. You could damn near mount the steering wheel directly to the box!

I suggest trying a mopar box.

got new tires today and thought i would drive it up to the little road get together tonight ,12 miles from home. Only made it 8 miles. I think it blew a freeze plug in the back of the block. Not sure why but dont know if I will make it to PnP now. One good note , Im glad my wife talked me into the roadside assistance with our insurance. Free towing for up to 10 miles.

Dropped the trans and found the freeze plug on the drivers side must have had a week spot in, replaced both, put itback together and went for a test drive. I had a BIG vibration ( make you see double vibration) with it in park or driving at about 1000 - 1500 rpms then it would smooth out a little. Talked to a friend and he sugested taking the bolts out of the converter and rotating it on bolt hole. Did that and no vibration at all. Is there something i should be worried about or is this common on a turbo 350?

Not sure on your combo. But a lot of times there is a drain plug on the front of the converter that has a corresponding access hole in the flexplate.. If they are not lined up then the flexplate will be cattywampus when you tighten things up..

made the filler pieces for below the bed in front of the tire today. Dug out the box of dash plaques I collcted as a kid in the early 80s and put them on the tank, when first stuck em on I thought it may look a little to rattish but its kinda growing on me now. Should be legal the fist of next week so ,wood in the bed and we are readdy for Pnp.
I was thinking about cutting the tabs off the radiator and painting the outside of it red oxide untill i get a shell.
