Virtually every car related key word I punched into Google led me here so I figured this must be "the" place. Lurked and read the sticky. Not gonna lie - I am Beach Boys fan - poodle skirts not so much. My Dad was a drag racer when I was a kid. Raised on Mopars but I'm into ALL of it especially nostalgia racing and muscle cars. My ride is a '64 Plymouth Belvedere with more plans than money.

  2. Nothing wrong with being a Beach Boy fan. Poodle skirts were a little before my time but then I really don't have the legs for anything but jeans!
Where did your Dad race? I used to spend alot of time at BeeLine in the late '60s and early '70s.

We raced at Tucson Dragway (front engine econo-rail w/an injected 283) before it shut down. I think Beeline was shut down before we moved to Arizona - too bad!

Welcome from Yuma. You ever get over to Little Anthony's on Saturday evenings? There are many Mopars that show up, you may already know. I try to get to several every summer. I hope to be there for the July 12th show.

It's just a few miles from my house. I don't go as often as I should. May be there on the 12th. Are you bringing a car?

  11. Beeline was a great place, I spent a lot of time there. Never spent a whole lot of time in Tucson. I had a truck leased to Reliance Truck Co., in the late '70s and early '80s, and they had a yard there. I did spend a few evenings on Miracle Mile partying and of course the Oar House! ;)
When did you move to Arizona?

1977. Miracle Mile has changed a bunch. You might like the site below.

  15. :D Thanks for the link. I've saved it so that I can look it over a little closer when I have more time.
Sadly Miracle Mile has gone the way of other great locations. It was great while it lasted though!
