Louisiana people?

so anyone else from Louisiana? i dont see any custom cars at all rolling through the citys/towns, unless no one drives them, but what the hell!


i guess ill be the first with my 53 F100 once its done, not only the first but probley the only chick

I'm not far from there, and based on my experiences driving in New Orleans, its because they don't want their cars crashed into. I've seen quite a few quality cars from the bayou state.

 

I live in Lafayette. Not much going on around here except bling blings & tuners. Occasionally I'll see a street rod done up in typical early 90's style.

There IS one hot hod I've been seeing around town. Chopped '32 5 window in flat black with no hood or fenders. Very cool to see in traffic!

I used to be out of Clinton LA. Just norf of Big BR.

I was rolling a triple red 64SS.

Got hungry, moved to Texas.

I can't wait to take my Grandfather's, then Uncle Cajun's 64 Chevy PU back to terrorize Clinton once more.

 

Where in La. are you? I have a very good friend that lives in Shreveport, drives a 53 Buick 2dr hdtp. There's a couple of guys on here I've seen from La. You should come up to SW Arkansas, we've horded up all the good ****!

im in the lafayette area also, i havent seen that vehicle around tho.. it must be the one that they won from ricks hot rods..

Y'all seem to have quite a few guys in Hope that are on this forum. I started looking for rear fenders for 35-37 Ford pickup in 1981 and NEVER found any until I got off the Interstate in Hope a couple of years ago. There was a trailer behind the first house on the right that had fenders and I got it cheep too. As I recall, there was also a 36 Ford pickup at a repair shop on 29. He said it belonged to a customer. Nat, that coupe is a 26/27

 

Nope, the one I see around is a 32 with wide whites in the back & skinnies in the front. Moon discs all around.

well not that anybody gives a **** but i'm FROM new orleans(actually metairie). from, as in moved the hell away. all the way up north to tn. n.o is a great place to drink, dance, eat & party your *** off but,uhh ... wait a minute..... why DID i move away?? aahhhh ****!!!! well i really like it here so i'm stayin...mel

 

im in walker louisiana,about 15 min east of baton rouge off I-12.
theres a few of us out this way with hotrods and customs.

I am in Baton Rouge. Building a '33 Chevy 5 window coupe channeled, no fenders, big block chevy. And a '27 Ford lakes modified. Have started duplicating the '27 body and model A ch***is. I have the equipment to do all of the work in my shop. From english wheel to louver press.
