i am trying to get some info on this car does anybody remember it? it has a decal that looks like the ford thunder bird symbol in the door, somebody rattle cand over it

B/SR= B Street Roadster. The class restricted radical modifications about like Gas class to make the cars at least look like street cars, and the class B is based on ratio of car weight to displacement.

It would have been an oddity...the class tended toward early roadsters for light weight and small size. As in Gas class, a street car would have been put there by the rules, but would have been utterly uncompetitive against the serious trailered racers. Small drag meets would have seen a mix of actual cars and racers playing at entirely different games since no one ever really figured out the problem of separating street hotrods from racers that met the same rules, and many seemingly minor modifications would bump up street cars one more level and put them into Roadster or Altered class running against crazy rigs with not even a pretense of streetability!
