I was itching to do something with my visor last wekend but have no access to stamps and flares, so here's the deal. Did a layout with paper circles on the visor using 3" diameter. I decided not to center them but use a 60-40 rule so they would end up a little north of the bottom edge. Less is more using 5.5" spacing center to center then using a 3" hole saw cut them out. Then using a soft wood (I used redwood from the fence project) cut the same 3" hole. Then, using a 4" circle traced the edge to frame the cutout. Using a rat tailed file, cleaned up the edges of the visor and file the edge of the redwood. Then fininshed by hand giving a nice radius edge. Now I could lay the visor on the wood and roll the edge over with a ball hammer. Worked great!
Looks real cool!!! Just goes to show that good work can be done without a lot of expensive tools. Fred Drew
