<font color="green">Saving your PM's....

Whilst viewing the PM to be saved, ***uming you are using Internet Explorer...

Select "File" in the Tool bar at the top of IE,

Select "Save as" from the dropdown list...

A "Save Web Page" box will popup,

Select the place you want the files to live in the "Save in" box...

Select what you want the file to be called in the "File name:" box...

Select "Web Page, complete (*.htm;*.html" in the "Save as type:" box.

Click "Save"

Now, you will notice that there are two files for each PM you save, one is an Internet Explorer FILE bearing the name you gave it and the other is a FOLDER bearing the name you gave it.

Select the Internet Explorer FILE and your PM should pop up looking like it did on the HAMB.

Select the folder and you will see other files that will most likely confuse you.

There are options to save only the text but I have to get back to work.

Maybe a dumb question, but make sure the pictures in the HAMB directory don't turn into red X's in the move please. Especially the TECH library.

Rashy, thank you so much for your hint on how to save posts into our own hard drive. I've just spent the morning saving all my Big Olds posts that were in my favorites. I would hate to have lost them.

I also copy and pasted all the HAMB Helper info that were in my PM's so if I lose any of those, we're still go to go. BTW: I'm hoping to finish the HAMB Helper Pages this weekend.

So in others words.... I'm packed up and ready to go

 

Change is good. I'm looking forward to the new HAMB &amp; CHEESE site.

 

What effect will this have (if any) on our "Favorite Posts" list? Will we still be able to access the posts or will the links not work because of the server change?
