Just wondering if anyone knew of any shows, meets, or otherwise interesting car events this weekend around Atlanta. I want to get the kids out and show them some old rides so they appreciate what the car in the garage could be.
And close to the Calhoun racetrack is the Cartersville Cruise In, starts about 4pm. I think there used to be a cruise in Fayetteville, on Ga. 85 at the Krystal. Anyone know if it still happens? These are both first Saturday of the month cruises.
A bit of a ride but there's a good swap meet up in Fletcher, NC just below Asheville. New location from the old Maggie Valley Show. Lee
They are. We may go up there. Everything is still in the trailer from the Bowling Green trip. The website isn't real up to date, but as near as I can tell they open at 9 am. http://www.northgeorgiahotrods.com/
Friday night drags/car show and fireworks this friday at Atlanta motor speedway. All the redneck you can handle for 7 bucks!!!!!
Brad54's swap meet? I got a 54 chevy rear/ torque tube, Powerglide transmission (prob only good for "numbers" purposes), and a couple other 54 210 pieces. Wish I was more in the loop of swaps and such, I only really know about MOultrie and Perry late in the yr.
Sat night they are running a smash up derby at Senoia Raceway. http://www.newsenoiaraceway.com/ We are planning to head down and hang out with the Dirty Old Man.
Caffeine & Octane sunday morning in Marietta....Don't know how it falling on the 4th is gonna effect it though.
It's gone but further south on 85 is Partners Pizza (great food) first sat. It's in a shopping center almost out of town.
There is a Saturday morning cruise at the Olde Blind Dog Irish Pub in Crabapple (near Alpharetta toward Woodstock), I believe from 9-noon. It's usually the first Saturday of the month. The past couple have attracted 40-50 cars, very diverse group.
