  3. I think the botton line is they don't have to be chopped to be cool. Car just like with certain other things are a matter of personel taste. Some like it shaved, some don't, some like a Brazilian. It's still good no matter what.
I was all wrapped up in that I needed to chop my car. I'm kinda glad I didn't. Nowadays it's almost less common than a chopped car. Todd

Oh god I hate it when clueless wannabe rodders, on account of their own ignorance destroy such a fine piece of history. You wanna mess around with a car don't do it with something in that kind of condition. Its just tragic.

this ones mine in my eyes I think the only way to go with the 49 to 52 is to run bumperets ( tailights in the bumper guards) because smoothing out the quarts just looks great on these cars

hey ghost, i'm not gonna add to all the harsh,, but some tips,, if you don't want the split windshield go out and find a pontiac of a similar year (could be wrong,, but search around for more info on that), if you wanna get super low use a gambino "step notch" or make your own,, but look up gambino customs,, if you just wanna get low, 'posie' leaf springs are real good for these years, and 'jamco' sells dropped spindles that are made for these year cars.. i got tons more pics, but heres some of your particular year (alot of them i gathered over time from this site actually)..

Well, I am fairly new here. Love this site for what it offers and I don't believe there is another with this much "stuff" for this era of cl***ics. Apparently my username will be offensive to some but it is what it is. I love anything customized or original because it's pretty cool to see someone's slant on what their cl***ic should be. I will say though, and what it seems as though most are saying is it's hard to see a real nice solid car have that kind of heavy custom work Done to it. ****, do what you want, just be prepared for the critics. After all, your wanting to build a work of art and show it off so you have opened yourself to the comments. If your going to be offended, then it doesn't make much sense to ask for advice and to share opinions on a public forum. Good luck with it and post pics, I'd like to see what you decide to do.
