i got a 51 deluxe im intrested in bagging. i have a factory front end and wanting to upgrade with 350 motor,and 350 turbo trans. i have the motor mounts for that.also wanting to maybe upgrede a powersteering if available. can any one point me in any direction to what i need to buy or what needs to be done to bag the front factory suspension.i have pro ride bag kit. will i need to use something else. the rear im just going to bridge and use behind axle brackets. i know there is alot of mustang 2 kits available, but i just want to make this a fast finished project ,cheap daily driver.
I would think that they make bolt-in air struts for the front of your car. Maybe? Mustang II or GM front clip would probably be your best bet if you want power steering. Contact members "Kustombuilder, "Gamabino_Kustoms" or "Arrowood Rod & Kustom." They are great guys that are pretty eager to help.
The easy route would be to put a mustang II kit in, kill a lot of birds with one stone. Power steering,disk breaks and a set up designed for bags. I'd do it that way mainly for your safety and the safety of others on the road. Check the alliance vendors they will set you up right.
best bet is the mustang II front, but it is expensive. if i had the cash for one my car would be done in a weekend. i just found out about the jag ifs swap. i heard its cheap and easy to install.
