I wouldn't go that much, but it's not terrible. It looks like it dips too fast after the door pillar.

First off, this is a radical chop. That being said, if you look at the front 1/4 view picture, the windsheild looks good and the BUBBLE AREA above the windsheild is fine, BUT at the top front edge of the bondo strip to the back looses all of that BUBBLE shape. It makes the top look it's way to FLAT and also makes it look like it slants to the rear, when if you look at the side windows they look to be right. Look at the BUBBLE above the rear 1/4 window and how low the crown is. If a person re-did the CROWN or BUBBLE on the back section of the roof it would look just like the Green car below. This would also raise the front of the rear window and make that area look better.

Here is what I'm trying to say. Bob

If you could get it cheap buy it and fix it.
The rear window needed moved up about 5" to correct the drastic ski jump flat spot and the side back windows are what I called pinch chopped. The curves are removed and it also loses part of the flow. With a drastic chop like that it also needed the B pillars slanted.
You can say 4" front and 5" to 6" in the back but if you cut the front posts 4" it will drop the windshield about 4 1/2" and then when you add the window gaskets you will lose another inch easy. On a sedan they look much much better cutting the rear window lose and sliding the whole thing forward 5" or more.

    BINGO!

The problem with most radical chops is that the beltline length from front to back is left too long. To keep the flow you need to move that base of the rear backlight forward, which means fabbing a new sail panel. Replacing the stock curve at the end of the quarter windows and not letting them go to 'point' will also help with the effect. The verticle chop on my '49 is 6" at the 'B' pillar, and everything flows pretty good. By not moving the backlight forward, this leaves the upper edge of the rear backlight too low, and not allowing good progressional flow. The 'c' pillar section is then left with a definite 'flat' spot, and the rear of the roof loses what's left of the crown, creating the huge flat 'slope' to the trunk. Lastly, when viewing this style of chop from the rear, the backlight looks like someone stepped on it.

The car in question is saveable. If you can get it for the right price, and you like the rest of the car, find a donor roof and make it right yourself. - Torch

Yeah its not that its too low, its that bump in the bondo, this has been a topic on this poor car, thats why the doh is there. The green and blue cars are just as low but they flow right , she needs some lovin, are you the one to give it to her?

That actually looks like a decent car, just the roof needs some attention.

No side shot, but here's the rear. I think it is/was a Chevy, maybe. Not too sure. My head hurts.
