My Dad and I have been working on this 5 window since 96 at which time I was 14. We were given the back half of the body from the quarter windows back because it was smashed up so bad. The top and cowl were both found seperate at swap meets and the fire wall is out of a 35 ford truck firewall and the doors are also swap meet finds. We chopped 3 1/2 inches out of the top while lowering and leaving the back window stock size in order to make the windows proportional all the way around. The top was wheeled and hammer welded to complete the top. The frame was completely split apart, repaired then riveted back together. We decided to use a 57' 365ci Cadillac with a S-10 5 speed transmission behind it. This is all the pictures I have right now but will post more soon. The car should be done sometime in August.

Admire your sticktoitivness. Had a 34 coach for a while and sold it because it needed so much work, way less than yours. (There's a post on here about a really nice roadster 14 years in the making, but the fellow is paying someone else to do it.) Seems like you get so much more out of this stuff, the more you do yourself. Keep us posted, looking really neat.

First pic in first post looks real good with the hubcaps/tire sizes and trim rings.......not to mention the Cad 2x2 with chromed pipes. Great style and build.

Early pics of the body when replaced the wheel wells. Cut out the old ones, made new ones out of cold roll and tig welded them in.

A lot of work but well worth it by the way it's turning out. Keep posting the progress.

It's going to be rad. Love the engine choice and the stance is nice as well.

When we were given the rear half of the car the quarters were smashed down to the beadline so we had to replace some of the quarter.
