Had to look it up. Basically its a Turbo 400 with a 350 shaft. Why won't the starter bolt up? Are the bolt holes staggered or straight across? Need a little more info.

  5. i had that touble with my 350. it has a smaller flywheel than a regular auto for some reason. i ended up at carquest asking for a 77 camero with a 307. and it works now.

stright across starter bolt holes it is for a 153 tooth flywheel-flexplate. stagered bplts is for the bigger wheel-plate. 168 tooth.

i made up a fixture to drill and tap the block for either bolt patteren.
