Can anyone tell me who made wheels like this, they had American Racing caps, but i dont think that is who made these particular wheels. Any help is appreciated.
They look like the ones that are a steel wheel with an aluminum outer bonded to them. Would be a lot heavier than an all aluminum one. Often there is some info cast or stamped on the back, or on the rim itself, requiring the tire to be removed to see it.
It is indeed steel with aluminum outer, i will check the back, but I don't recall seeing anything but size stamped in them.
Thought I'd finally throw my 2 cents in here since I own this jewel of a wheel. It's actually an aluminum center with steel slugs cast in that is welded to a steel rim. All I've been able to find is a mfd under patent number cast into the aluminum. Can't find any manufacturer info on the wheel. I didn't get a peek at the actual steel rim yet.
