I have a McCollluch (sp) supercharger attahched to a flathead ford intake. It has the 3 groove pulley on the front and what appears to be the alternator bracket. What would something like this be worth??? and where would I advertise it?? Thanks lowlander
Their priced all over the place. What condition; Updated bearings, etc.; Complete setup or partial; Look in the cl***ifieds here and do some searches elsewhere, and you'll probably get some ideas. There's plenty of us out here that would love to have one !
I will be getting the pics downloaded from camera to computer tonight or tomorrow and put them up for evaluation. I know my grandfather has had this in his ba*****t for 30yrs or more. It seems to spin freely, and knowing how he was, it wasn't junk. as you can tell, I am way out of my zone with flatheads. guess I should have checked with you guys before selling the 47' coupe super deluxe with the flathead huh? lol it was all original too.
any ideas on value????, even rough ideas would be good. It spins freely by hand and doesn't "grind" in any way. Thanks
Pretty cool piece. I'd say somewhere in the $800-1,000 range would be fair. Not really efficient but they are cool as hell. Neat stuff.
I believe the "M" model was for Mercury's prolly built in the late 30's or very early 40's. PM hotrodjosh on here for more info he's been running one for years. Jim
These were not hot rod items. They were made to get more power for Ford trucks so that they could haul more freight. Notice how the blower and the discharge from it gets heated from the engine coolant for winter time street operation. They do clean up nice though.
