are there any adapters, or does anyone know the best way to put late model(40 to 48) steel wheels on 28 to 35 rear drums? thanks for the help
Those are to put early wheels on later drums. The opposite of what you want. You are going to probaly have to shave the inner raised area off or get later drums. Here is another thread on it I found. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=466492&highlight=1935+wheels
P.S.I. makes (or used to make) a spacer ring for what you want to do. The problem is with the spacer on there the wheel studs end up being too short. The lug nuts don't engage enough of the threads on the studs. (This was on a '33 Ford)
sweet ad tommy, looks about 1950 to me, anything a little more recent?, or know anybody whos got a pair for sale? help me, my cars on jackstands and i realy need to drive it too fast, like right now man!!!!
