Safiknut and others, I agree, forget the roadster lets pool our money and buy the Pitts. Way more fun than any hot rod.

  4. I'm glad I knew it was the best hot rod in the world before I saw it, cuz I'd have never guessed on my own. Boy, would my face have been red!

My question is, why does he even bother to mention that its won shows? Isn't that implied, seeing as how it's the most fan-damn-tastic hot rod on earth? Talk about cherry pickin', nothing else stood a chance.

It looks like a DeLorean motor I saw in a sandrail once.

That's what it looks like to me too.
Renault, Peugeot and Volvo developed that engine together, but there were problems with some of them.
( Head gaskets if I remember correctly...)

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yes, I believe it's this V6 motor...

no i belive the problem was that its an alloy engine
with steel cylinder insterts that wasnt properly fastened
and thus after 20.000km the started to move thus making the engine in need of total rebuilding...
the engine was in the 262 volvo bertone aswell i belive if im not mistaken..

and i second that , i am pretty sure that its the same v6 thats used in delorean, volvo etc...

almost an worthless engine, i sure woudlnt want one!

if that "steel 1928" would have really had an rare ohv conversion for an flathead it could almost been worth the 20.000 us dollars for the engine alone or something
but i sure wouldnt want that ugly car

A local guy bought a Deloren new. Had so much trouble with it he finally buried it and reported it stolen. The cops hesitated taking a report, they didn't believe anyone would steal a Deloren. They were right of course!

Renault, Volvo and Peugeot shared the engine.

That's what I was thinking too. Actually they had a bunch of cam problems. In the Vovlo you had to pull the heads or the engine as the cams slide out the back. The labor was killing them on the recall or campaign so they come up with a template and a hole saw to take the cams out through the inside of the car, then some rubber plugs to cap the holes.
