Which mustang master cyl. on 56 Ford car

    im using one from a '67 mustang with manual brakes disc/drum on my '61 falcon. bolted right up.

    i used a 1974 Maverick. bolted right in. and it was only 28 bucks brand new
     
  6. i know a 69 mustang m/c fits my 57 maybe it will fit your 56

    both lines on the 69 cylinder exit away from the engine thats a plus in my book

    I got a 67 Mustang one.Now I'm trying to find the fittings to hook up the brake light switch,it's harder than I thought.

    wire up a mustang style electronic switch to the pedal, if your using a dual res, it is better this way, if one res in you brakes fail you still have taillights.
    The switch attaches to the pivot bolt on the pedal, then you bring back the taillight wiring inside. Not that hard to do.

    I fabbed a bracket and mounted an electric switch under the dash.Now the problem is i bled the brakes a lot and still have no pedal and the pedal dosen't come up as far as it did with the old ms.

    on my 53 i used a 67 mustang m/c. i also had to make an adjustable push rod. for the brake light switch i mounted it the same as the factory did in 53.

    I got everything bled and have a solid pedal.I figured out that a 1/4" shorter rod translates into about 2" less pedal swing.So I tried to pull out the rod to make it longer and I can't get it to pull out.Any thoughts?

    Mid-80's Crown Vic M/C's are aluminum and can be polished up to shine like a diamond in a goats ***.

    Got the rod extended 1/4" and it works great!

    cool, usually some people find adjustable rods for this very purpose.
