Didn't start out as a vert, used lots of different parts and pieces to put this one together. Modeled after a car I once helped restore. This model is showing some age and will have to be redone someday.
Nice stuff guys. Great show pictures, thanks I like the Crestline/Sunliner drop top and that altered Ford is amazing. Not to mention the great '49 Pick-up. Prime time:
Your weathering on the 61 is amazing. I really liked it white and weathered. My models are starting to look weathered, but it's from sitting in storage 20 yrs. This is starting to get me inspired.
Great crop of builds this week, guys. I really dig the custom decals, Marty. And Eric, the dio and pickup are just too tuff! Here's the most recent completion off my bench:
Nitro Marty, the Dirty Bird is just killer ,great stance- it looks as though its going 150 standing still. cheers RM
Great looking models. Marty, one thing I noticed you did that many dont' do with AWB cars, is move the front wheels forward as well as the rears. Some of the AWB kits are incorrect, as they have the front wheels in the stock location. Some 1/1 cars were like that, of course (which makes them look even more "funny"), but not most of the ones I saw race in the sixties. Nice job on the model!
Check this out guys! I was hitting all the local garage sales this morning and a neighbor told me about this guy who builds model cars! Just then the garage opens up and he walks out to look at my truck. I walk over and he starts showing me all these scratch built cars! Alot of them are copies of actual cars!!!!! I told him about the HAMB and he said he was gonna join up and look for "Sunday Models". Wait til you see some of these things....It's gonna blow your minds!!!!! I gave him my card so he could call me if he had any trouble joining up. Maybe i'll go back over there and get some pic's.
