That is our 1948 Ford/Boyertown Bodyworks truck. It was a Bond Bread Delivery Truck so we kept the logo on the side and added Hot Rods and Sticky Buns, a dropped axel, 300 Ford with a C6 transmission, 9 inch ford rear, wide whites and a few other things. Boyertown Bodyworks was a coach builder located in Boyertown, PA about 20 mins from our home. A company could order any body and frame and the bodyworks would build the rest. Boyertown Bodyworks was in operation from the late 1800's to 1982. If ever in the Boyertown area the company has a historic vehicle museum.

Does anyone know if the guys ever got the C&D Speed Center Willys to fire up? My dad and I were there on Friday and they were trying but to no avail... That car is awesome. It's an original 60's drag car and the way you see it there is exactly how it appeared at Maple Grove over 40 years ago. In fact, here's a pic of it that either my dad or uncle took of it back in the day. -
