thanks for posting tdog ,love your car and your dads car! We should have made a caravan there on the 3rd, would have coool to have been in such good company. Jeff
That would have been fun. Lets try to do it next year. If you see us at a show sometime come on by and say Hi. I am not sure if you we have met. We are rolling to the show this Fri (July 9th) in Ceresco NE. Starts at 4pm in the years past it was sponsored by the local Ford Dealer. If your not familiar It has always been a Ford only show. This year the Ford dealer is not involved and is now an ALL makes show. Maybe we will see you there. Thanks
I drove up early Sat. morning to GG's, got detoured by the Des Moines river on the south side at flood stage. (****er reminded me of back when I was on the N&WRR Track Gang building track for the Redrock Dam project back in the summer of '67 when the river flooded and went bank to bank!!.)..................... BTTT.... Then I walked around some more until I had to sit down. Found the swap meet and walked some more then had to sit down again.. Bought a GG's Tee-Shirt and drove back to Columbia, MO making dam sure that I was home before dark b/c around here in MO, John Law start's profiling everybody that's out after dark! Great show and you posted some great pic's!! pdq67 PS., and back then in late '66 and early '67, my carpool would go up through the country to Runnell's, IA monday morning early from Moberly and Macon, MO running like 75 to 90 or so up through Moulton, IA and then to Albia and Knoxville. And the same coming back on Friday afternoon!! But we can't drive like that now!!!!!!!!!!!! Hell, we came off a hill west of Knoxville running 125 one friday afternoon and got caught by a plane at 90 mph and had to wait until onna the older guys came through so we could barrow enough money off him to pay the fine that was like $56 plus Court Costs b/c we were all broke w/ just enough fuel in gas cans in the trunk to get home for payday.
My wife and I are going to take off work early. I would think we be leaving out of town around 5:00 or so? Leaving from Papillion. We could meet up at the outlet malls? Gary, You are welcome to cruize with, or anybody else who would like to meet up. We could leave the mall at 5:30 and roll down HWY 6
Sounds like a good local run,I'll try and meet up with hiboy 32 and maby tag along.I coudn't make it to the GG,next year.... Rob
