Air Ride Tech.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Cool Whip, Jul 5, 2010.

  1. I have an earlier Ride Pro system and it has performed flawlessly until now. For some unknown reason the compressor will not shut off it just keeps running while I am driving. I have adjusted the sensor on the air tank through the digital keypad back to 135 pounds. It originally was at 150 pounds but the compressor kept kicking on and off. The tank seems to be holding air. Any ideas?

spray soapy water on all your fittings, tank, and lines. It will bubble at the leak if you have one. Your pressure switch could also be on the way out.

we have had that problem also. it is your presure switch. it has some moisture in it or it went south. pull it out and let it dry for a few days, and drain your tank. stick it back in and see if that solved your problem , if not get a new one from airide tech.

I would definitely say the only 2 things it could be would be the pressure switch or fittings/line leaking somewhere. I would think it would have to be a healthy leak though to just keep the compressor on constant. So probably the switch.

  7. Thanks guys. I will remove the sensor and see what's up. I also looked at the tank pressure on the digital readout of the controller and it read 0 pounds. I definitely have air. I was able to raise and lower the car several times. There has to be air in the tank.

  8. I pulled the sensor and found moisture in it. I let it dry out in the hot California sun for a day or so and installed last night. it still reads 0 pounds and the tank is definitely holding air. I unplugged the relay to see if the compressor would still run and it stopped. I thought the problem might be the relay but since the sensor reads 0 pounds it is most likely that. The sensor has a sticker on it with a date of 11/06.
