Got a nice looking small power rack and pinion from a friend of mine to try and use on an upcoming project. He said it was from a Chevy Chevette. I don't have any hoses or fittings and both of the ports for the pressure and return hoses are the same size and thread. Which is the pressure and which is the return? I'm sure it matters and the only thing I can tell ya further is that one is closer to the rack and the farther away or closer to the steering wheel. Anyone have a guess?

It ain't from a Chevette. They had rack & pinion....but no power rack & pinion.

  3. Maybe it's from like a Citation, then. I've heard Autozone has a lot of shop manual stuff available online if you register on their site, maybe you can check there if no one knows here.

Hmmm.......what year did they offer them? Maybe one with the diesel engine to offset the extra front end weight. I've never seen a gas burner with PS.

hook it up and if the wheel shakes violently back and forth when you start the car you have it backwards. you have a 50/50 shot at getting it right the 1st time.
