Billetproof Hot Rod Eruption - NorthWest Drags, Aug, 29, 2010

Its on again!!!
The Billetproof Hot Rod Eruption will take place on Sunday, Aug 29, 2010 at the Riverdale Raceway in Toutle Washington.

Come drag race in the shadow of Mt. St. Helens at a very rustic track. No brackets, no eliminations.. just heads up racing all day long. You can make as many p***es as you like. Run till something breaks or until you've had your fill.

The best part? on Aug. 27-28 the Unique Tin car show is in Longview, Wa. Come to the show on Friday and Sat., cuise downtown Longview on Sat night (streets will be closed down for those registered at the show to cruise) Then go drag racing the next day with Billetproof.

a weekend full of hot rod goodness. It doesnt get much better.

Dirt camping is available at the track on Sat. night.

Awesome! Glad to hear the track is still in business. Last year was a blast, really looking forward to this years drags, hopefully more people will come now that it's better known.

its gunna be fun again... we are working with the Unique Tin show on Friday and Sat. to promote the drag races. We are encouraging all Billetproof'ers to go to the Unique Tin show and enjoy the show, pin-up contest and cruise... then come out and do some racing on Sunday.

YES!!! Thank YOU ChopTop!!! We Loved heading out through the backroads and coming up on the marquee just off the road...driving down the hill with the track off in the distance...was amazing!! We'll be there again this year!!

Don't for get Robbie Davis' 1940 Willys ALL STEEl ex G***ER with old patina!! and all the other g***ers. Me, My dad, and my Grandpa might make it up to this...

 

You young pups need to realize that in the 50's and 60's one drove their car to and from the track to race. That was part of the game, fried clutch, broken ****** or a chipped gear didn't discourage us as we somehow managed to return home on our own to return the following week. Bring an extra "chunk" and have some fun.

 

This event was by far my favorite, and I went to The Hot Rod Reunion in bakersfield ,Ca last year. I am planning on bringing my 1933 Austin altered with a 401 nailhead, and racing my 5 window. I am buying tires tomorrow from my pal Cody at hurst Tire to gear up for it. I am camping on Saturday, and looking forward to a good time. See you there!

MAN it looks like a GREAT Time and the track looks untreated (which is a great thing) and will be easier on the drive trains. Rocky

 

This is definitely a weekend you won't want to miss. We have a great time, huge cruise, and some kick *** drags.

There is a great back road drive all the way to Riverdale Raceway from the Expo Center in Longview. Straight up Westside Hwy then out Spirit Lake Hwy to the track.

Cant wait for this one. I'll have the Billetproof Panel Truck all set up by then, it will be its first LONG distance run. We'll leave a day early just in case

Track is pretty green... for those of you that like to do burn-outs... here is your chance. Bring 4 sets of tires and a transmission you dont like and burn them all to the ground. The track could use some rubber laid down.... so burn-out until you cant stand it any more. I dare ya!!!!

We are getting ready to head north. Come on out and race till you puke. No staging lane lines, just run, and run and run. Do laps. Have a ball.

 

I'll be there. Still just a spectator though. Unless of course you'd like to see a 53 chev pu make a very sloooooow run.

 

We got a pack from Portland hitting both the cruise and the drags.

Anybody camping in Longview before heading to Toutle? What's the story with the Cowlitz Fairgrounds? Just curious because I have the wife and kid. Any thoughts are appreciated.
