I have never sat down and watched dazed and confused but two lane blacktop is great. People say its boring but I just think people expect to much of it you have to like it for what it is not what you want it to be. I guess it depends on what kind of films you like if you like action blockbusters with lots of wild over the top over hollywoodised action and stuff two lane blacktop is NOT that kind of movie, it comes from a time where films were films rather then entertainment.

American graffiti is of course great.

Two Lane has fifteen minutes of greatness, and the rest is horrible mumble acting by "non-actors".
Dazed is pretty spot on, but I never thought of it as a car movie.

I think thats why alot of people get disapointed in some of the films. Most of the most revered "car movies" are just films or films about a period of time and what went on in a period of time and because they have cars in them they get called car movies. On the DVD of American Graffiti there is a Making of special feature on there where George Lucas talks about how he wanted to make a movie about what went on when he was growing up and that when he first had someone write the script for graffiti it was very hot rods to hell with alot of stuff that never really happened so he had it written again to be the way he wanted it.

I haven't seen Dazed and Confused yet, but I watched Two Lane Blacktop on YouTube the other day. That was a weird film if I ever saw one...

    American Graffiti for the win.

Gotta be Dazed and Confused. Most car movies I want to fast forward through for different reasons but D & C is good all the way through.

Well,,Movies will be Movies ,,Funny how in "Grifitti" they never lifted the hood on that black '55 ,,why ?? because it was the '55 from Two Lane Blacktop and had a "Rat" motor init ,,Where Were You In '62 ?? well the "Rat" motor wasn't invented yet in '62 ,,that's why the "Grifitti" die cast ca has a 409 in it ,,
there were Three Primered '55's built for Two Lane ,,the number one car got painted black ,changed the hood scoop and was in "Grifitti" the number two'Camera Car" was sold ,,tracked down and is now completely restored to the movie trim and is owned by the puter host on "Two Lane Blacktop .Com" ,the third '55was the rollover '55 in "Grifitti" and was junked after the filming ,,
Raelity is ,,Griffiti ,,Two Lane Blacktop ,,Hollywood Knights and Dazed n Confused and many more are ALL< great movies ,,,in there own right ,,if you don't like one ,,?? thats yor problem ,,
