Found this today in a junkyard tucked in between a few mid 90's model junkers at a local junk yard. Shame to see such a solid car sitting there. Just a little rust on the rockers.
Just another example of 4-doors getting a bad rap, wonder whats on the end of the rope under the hood.
That's surprising. Around here when s**** prices go up, everything older than 10 years gets squished... So, did you buy it?
well..in 58 they had a pretty stout rear axle...and that stamped grill is worth some coin..not to mention if its complete it might be a great deal. imagine that polished out..i be that black paint comes back strong. tok
There were other examples there as well. Just sitting there in a pile of newer wrecked auto's. Real shame.
I was in a local pull-a-part the other day to find a fairly decent looking '50 Pontiac 4dr, someone's backyard resto, had some filler in it on closer inspection. Also out there and surprising to me, although O/T for here, a '70 Camaro that was pretty solid and probably buildable even now, body shell was all there. Another place I went by on the highway caught a glimpse of a decent looking 2nd gen Corvair out front waiting to get prepped. Thinking I will go get me a steering box in a day or two. I need to go anyways and see if the '64 Nova is still there, I found someone in need of a couple pieces off that. I figure this is what everyone gets for being too cheap to buy a whole car, they go to a modern junkyard where no one much knows or cares about what they are, and get s****ped in a month or two.
