Thanks I bought it at a yard sale. I would like to know what it goes to so I can get the right parts to make it work. So any help from anyone would be appreciated. Thanks Ben

Can't really identify it either, but my guess it's 1960 or later. I don't think many earlier ones were built to register 110 mph. Just a guess...

  5. "Right parts"?!?! What do you need?? Looks to me like a speedo cable and a car to put it in might be all you need for that.

FWIW, all American Speedos are set to indicate 60 mph at 1000 cable rpm, so you won't have any trouble getting it to read proper-like.

I'd say late 40s with the fabric wire insulation. If the needle twitches when you spin it with your fingers, it's probably good. Hook a cable up to it and put some 12V bulbs in it and drive.

You really don't need to know what it is out of as the cable commection on thr back is a standard 5/8s male thread. Same as most US vehicles have used since the 30s.

Yep, thats how most are calibrated.

  14. If I were going to guess, I'd say Buick, 1951-2-3 in there someplace. 54-up are rectangular, but before that they're round going back to 1940, maybe 1939.
