  7. Had my '50 Flathead rebuilt by H&H. I am really happy with their work.

Rebuilding a flathead ain't inexpensive, period. I had a friend tell me prior to the adventure that you will never spend so much to go so slow. Turned out to be pretty accurate. That said, you get what you pay for and you get quality and service with H&H. I have recommended them to many and will continue doing so.

Just be glad you don't live in Ky. Instead of finding the "best" you'd be happy to just find a "rebuilder".
You'll be in good hands with H&H.

@ H&H, are we talking around 3k to 5k for a rebuilt stocker, or cheaper? Anyone have a general ballpark figure? I called but got disconnected twice.

  16. I do! But not for you!

Just kidding. :D I'm prolly too far away anyway, and you have so many good choices down there as mentioned before.

Call me, I'll give you a heck of a deal. My goal isn't to compete with 'them',
they probably outsell me ten to one, but I feel my Quality is the best since
I'm not an ***embly-line process. Each Flathead I build one at a time with
attention to Detail in the build itself and external parts plus I pride myself on
No Leaks or "seepage" around head bolts or heads themselves. Never had an
issue with Any of my Built Flatheads and even have repeat customers. I port-
match and hog out all my blocks, flux/shot-peen/etc... Check out my pics if
nothing else. All the Carbs and Polishing are also done by Me. Prices?, at least
$3 for a stocker (which is dirt cheap these days), on up to $10 or so for a Blown
Flathead like the one in the clips running on my Homepage. Marcus' 304 is on
there as well. Call any time even on the weekends and check out my New Add
    in Hemmings (pg 405).
