Im trying to deal with the roof on my 28 tudor. When I bought the body the guy gave me the roof panels for the car. Only problem is they are not for the car. I tacked them in place to see what it would take to make them work. The drivers side is close but the inside doesn't line up straight. Tell me what you think guys. Have any clue what these panels are for? What is the roof supposed to look like?
Well, we both know they are not 28-29 pieces, could be 30-31, not sure. The wood kit will have two side rails that fit into that dropped section and the bottom is flat. There is a steel cross piece that connects right were those over the door panels fit. If I could fine the photos of my '29 chop project I'd post them, I'm sure some will post something or a link to another project.
Ive been hittin every swap meet and houndin ebay and the hamb for the right peices with no luck. I really dont want to cut up good original steel but I might end up slicing and dicing. Is there an online assembly manual floating around anywhere?
I had a similar problem with my 29 coupe. If I remember correctly the pick-up, coupe, and sedan pieces were each a little different. I ended up with 5-6 different ones before I found 2 I could use. I'll be out in the shop tomorrow and try to find the leftovers. A few measurements and maybe we can figure it out. Red
Just looked them up in the Snyders catalog, there are 28-29's and 30-31's. Yours will run $88.00 each. The catalog also shows most of the top brackets you'll need, don't know if yours are missing or not.
