I need some help guys ... I have a Lincoln Mig... a full bottle of argon shield.. the unit turned on.. I have no gas going to the trigger.. is it possible that the guage at the bottle is screwed? would that prevent the gas from flowing? thanks.
Mine did the same thing make sure the gun is pushed all the way into the machine and tight is your bottle full take off regulater and check if it is, work your from regulater down u might have hole in gas line? First make sure gun is all the way plugged in and thumb screws are tight, mine backed out an eighth of an inch and i had no gas at the gun, good luck, dude!
Disconnect the hose at the bottle regulator and see if you have gas flow there. Then pull the gun cable out of the front of the machine and pull the trigger (leave the trigger wires hooked up, obviously). See if you can feel gas coming out of the cable housing (you may have to crank the reg. up some). This will at least tell you where the problem is...
I pulled the Hose from the Guage , theres no gas flow from the from the guage to hose end.. Ive cranked the guage to the 9s ,, nothing.. it almost seems like a plugged valve or a pooched dial.. The handle and trigger all look fine,
Pull the reg off the tank and crack the valve to make sure you've got gas coming out of the tank. If you do, the reg is shot. Don't try screwing around inside the reg, just get a new one...
Got lots of gas at the bottle. Non coming out the end of the regulator.. if either one of the guages is broken, will that prevent the gas from flowing? All you guys have been helpful. very Much appreciated and thanks..
