My Sons Wagon Got a custom Lettering/ Pinstripe Job this week Thanks to my brother. "HEMMER" on the Hamb.
I named it The Sidewalk Hog wich is quite fitting as the rear wheel base is almost the same width as a side walk.
Was a big hit at the local Car Show today.
And My son Loves it so thats all that matters.

Here are some pictures of the Radio Flyer roadster pickup i built for my grand son.
The main wagon body , handle and wood sides are from my daughters first wagon. And the first picture is in front of her wagon now.
I'm still contemplating a soft top and a redo on the exhaust.

Growing up my mom never had a drivers license. My dad was a truck driver and the groceries had to get from the store to the house. Mom would haul me to the store in my modified Flyer with high wood rails and then we would haul them groceries home.
This thread has inspired me to build a cool little wagon for my girls.Their wagon is full of car parts So I'm picking up one off of CL to modify.
Thanks Everyone for the great enginuity and I'm gonna borrow a few ideas.;)

  7. Finally posting up in this thread. Picked this one up today from the neighbor..been eyeballing it sitting by her shop, stopped in ask and she said I could have the darn thing if I took it with me right then. So I loaded the bad boy up:D

I'd love some helpful advise on how to fix the floor in it. Pic of the rust is posted,I'd love to be able to keep the tub original and the earned patina as much as possible but want the holes fixed and rust stopped. *brainstorming*

Mopar Man; for the rusty bed of your wagon, how about a light clean-up with a light sand blast or wirebrush. Maybe a coat of Rustoleum on the bottom of the bed and then lay in some floorboard covering material ? Should be quick and easy

  17. I was thinking the same thing but also with a hard plastic brush-on bedliner material that goes along the floor, then up the inside wall about 3/4 inch or an inch. ?
I think I saw somewhere that they make it in different colors.

Well this thread has been inspiring. What I started out with was a rusted old wagon I picked up at a garage sale for 2 dollars. 150 later... and I'm satisfied. I've since picked up two more and will post those up as they are finished. So what do ya think?!

Here's a couple I just finished. Basically a stock wagon hat I took apart and painted and put chrom moly axles on. I've got a fireball model that I will be lowering and rat rodding it. Then 2 more regular radio flyer's and turning them into a lowered porsche 917 with gulf livery and 312pb ferrari will post some more pics later. The blue one's wood sides are actually dyed blue green with a lot of blue pearl but it does'nt show up in the pictures

Dynaflash, looking good. 300lbs? How many did you have to stick in it to test it out?

Yeah, they're awesome. My bet would be off of one of those old, all metal strollers. I can't think of the name of them.

    Not Twism, but....

As soon as I saw the fenders, I knew exactly where Twish got them. My son has a Speedster Fire Truck ride-on toy. That's where the fenders came from.

I used my Step fathers utility knife and cut a piece fo olive shag carpet to fit my wagon, had a little round bottle of apple juice and a an AM radio. My mothers Silkie Terrier was my passenger. We Ruled the streets of Reseda ca. I think about that shit every time I fire off a fresh new build. kinda funny what you hold on to from your childhood...

Starting to mock up the Fireball Wagon. I have a different set of wheels and tires for it, right now trying to figure out the wheelbase. It's just kinda sitting on some wire and zip tied together in the photos.
