Recently I meet Jay the owner of Dyse One clothing. He is making a new catalog and wanted to do some things different this year and use a kustom car shop for the back ground. So yesterday he brought his camara crew with some pro skate boarders, bmxers and motocross guys he sponseros to model his mens clothing. Jay was real happy with the shot and is already setting up another shot for his womans clothing . Jay realy liked my ExK shop logo and the shirts I had made so he is setting me up with my EXK clothing line and will be marketing them for me. Rick Erickson of ExK
Hey Rick, Thats Awesome!!... Would have been a much better shoot if the HRod 50 Sclamed Merc was in the photos, but not everyone has a great eye.hahah... EXK!!!!!!
Hey need some imput here. We are thinking of making a reasonable priced high quailty Shop ware / Metal fab clothing line. Do you think there would be a big enought market in these tough times ? resqd37Zep The ExK ******* are already in the works !!!!!
Holy ba jesus, forget the photo shoot look at that blown flathead in the black Merc! All the stuff looks great, good luck.
Eric it depends on what your asking per shirt. What are you thinking on price? If you just do a small patch on the front it might be cheaper, but if you screen the EXK logo on the back then more people will see it. Remember Hats, Shirts and anything with your logo on it is like a walking billboard for your shop. If you sell your shirts cheaper you will sell more shirts, More shirts=more advertising. I thing shop rags are a good idea too (customer gifts). I'm glad EXK is doing so well, you and your crew do great work. __Trashed
I would be careful and slow. People are always quick to spend your money. I would do a low production, and see how that goes. Then you get some good stuff, and you can always sell it over time to customers and at shows. Or, just don't spend more money then you would mind ending up with in product. Have fun Wil www.sakowskimotors.com www.ridefree.com
Hey Rick, You better have lots of pictures of the ladies shoot. I enjoyed my visit with you last year when I dropped off the '40 Merc for Jeremy. How about an up date, I saw that you decided on a 409 for the engine & talked with your employee that got the old flathead for his Model A. ...Red
I'm sure this will be deleted, but "*** drugs and dirty money" is real cl***y. I don't think I would want that ***ociated with my shop if I had one. I guess turning 38 made me a grumpy old man.
Unlike the old fart in Grits' avatar, who actually was a HELL of a lot tougher than he looked! (I didn't know that until a couple years ago) R.I.P. Fred Rogers, a true American Bad***. -Bill
I had to go and look closely, the font and graphics are so ****ty I missed it the first time around anyway!
I second that. It is not cool, but painfully lame. And I have been to your shop Rick, you and your shop are way cooler than this mad pop culture pain. Wil www.ridefree.com www.sakowskimotors.com
They look pissed off cause they are trying to look cool. Apparently people around here equate anger with cool.
Heres a few pics of the flathead to drew over. My customer is here on the hamb and will be doing a post on his 50 Merc build very soon. Rick Erickson
