i think they just changed the mix to fuck with us, the pavement back then WAS softer.

  7. Nope! NOT Roth artwork...NOT Roth style...Not Roth!!!!
Take a better look at the Madrid boards and you'll see a HUGE difference in the work. Think about it....he would not do such quality Monster drawings and then do something that looks like a 10yr old drew it. Just look at any of his shirt art and you'll see he had a unique style.
    You are obviously ill-informed.

I definitely don't know for sure either way, but anything that was good that came from "Roth" was drawn by Robt. Wiliams.

  9. I have quite a few things drawn by Ed himself! He had more than one guy who did designs for him,but all looked just like the originals done by Roth.
Also....just because the Madrid skateboards had RatFink on them, doesn't mean he designed them! His widow has given lots of people the right to use RatFink. There's so much shit out there now that Ed had nothing to do with. Everytime I run across something that says"ROTH Original",I ask Darryl if I can't tell for sure. He has yet to say "Yes,that's real".
With the shirts, beach towels, stickers, water transfers, and other things I have in my collection, there's plenty to compare to.
I'm not saying it's not cool...just that it's not ROTH.

I would have to agree, pushead was a killer artist in everyway and even a better singer for septic death.zorlac boards always had the best art.The pleated boards are amazing, any surviors out there i wonder?

  14. WOW !!! You must have known him on a very personal level to know his stuff that good, lets see some of those pics man.

Don't you think it at least came from his studio maybe by Ed Newton, Robert Williams, Johnny Ace or Kali or something? can't imagine it could say rat fink on a big name brand like Nash and not be a huge trademark enfringement. I'm leaning toward the idea it came from his studio. i will do more homework though

Is that board still for sale?

  19. Bob,

Do not hold out on me and others! After attending the Mooneyes Show today and seeing a lot of Ed Roth Inspired art... I cant wait to see what you have.... I looked for the HAMB banner but did not see anything. Do not leave us hanging!

  20. I was there! Just to the right of the entrance booth. I brought the Pick-up,instead of the Merc, cause it gets so hot in there...
My ROTH collection....not a chance! It means more to me than money. All given to me by Ed or Sally Roth. No E-bay shit here! The only piece I have ever gotten rid of ,is a mug I gave to Darryl for helping out my parents. I have never seen another one, that was unbroken. I've looked for a replacement for years, but have never seen another one.

  21. I am not asking to buy any of it or for you to sell it... I just want to see the pics??? Or do you mean you will not post any pics of it?

The new SC Tuck N Rolla is drawn by Jimbo Phillips. This board is sick with the diamond stitch red metal flake vinyl.

And when it comes to Skate Art Jim Phillips (Jimbo's Dad) hands down turned out the best graphics ever. Peep my avatar!

  23. Nope...it will never be for sale...
Nope...I will never post any of it...

The ONLY thing anyone ever says is "will you sale any of it?" and "how much is it worth?". Both,of which, I don't care about!!!

  24. What ??? Bob are you serious ? You wont even post any of your stuff for people to look at ??? Really ??? It's Roth man give me a break. Barnes has a handmade Kenny Howard knife that he uses EVERYDAY and lets people see it and touch it. Nobody is asking you to sell it Bob.

Madrid did a re-issue while back of the rat-fink board they made in the mid eighties.
    typical Madrid excellent re -issue.

The Lucero jack in the box is one of the best re-issues to come out . As far as all the mid eighties re- issues are concerned Madrid did them right

I fricking WISH Natas (Designarium) would re-issue his very early SMA football shaped decks before they were made by santa cruz.... that and the NATAS Face board would be cool.

Kirk I believe he said the board is only for sale if you drop into the combi pool @ upland in your snugglers gear.

i got the re-issue of the sword and skull, it's to be envied. the roskopp and lucero series was killer too. my first board was NOT a nash, but a valterra, first real board was lucero. as far as the hot rod art, the santa cruz slasher guy was pretty close to a roth creation.

  29. We all know who the knife was made for,you missed the point that I was trying to make.

  30. I think I got the point, "its a shame that Badbob will not show us his collection of "ROTH" Stuff he has, Yet people like Bob Barnes will show anyone and what he has is prob worth more"

Different strokes for different folks I guess...

Still a bummer, oh and BTW... I would say "ebay Shit" I know people with Large art collection or Original stuff... who cares where they got it??? is it not still original art?
