I was wondering if anyone has any info.on a E A B Flathead that came out of a 1950's Aerocoach Bus.Horse power, ect. The heads are stamped;E A B F, M152 It was abandoned in Montana in about 1972 by some hippies from Minn. After removing the motor, found the clutch plate in pieces in the bottom of the bellhousing.Still has nice clean oil the dipstick.Thanks.Did some more research, and found out the Aerocoach Bus might be a 1942.Thanks for all the input!

Sounds like a 239 Ford to me. If its the original motor for that vehicle, it may have hard seats, and it could have factory reliefs. If its a sound block, and the price is right, give it a new home.

I'll have to look at my original heads again, but I think they had the same stamping. I have a '51 Ford truck. Everyone says that model of flathead had 100hp, but on the vin tag in my glovebox it states 90hp. So I always wondered if they did something different in trucks, maybe a different cam that actually put out less hp but more torque?

I believe the EAB indicates a 239 cu/in engine of 1952 vintage (first year for those heads.

    That's correct-and the advertised H.P. was 110.

But the question related to the EAB heads. If the engine IS an EAB series and hasn't been tampered with or modified along the way, then it's a 239" 110 H.P. '52-'53 Ford p***enger car. If it said EAC on the heads it would be a Mercury 255", 125H.P. for the same years. All Flatheads are subject to internal inspection to determine if they are indeed what their outward signs indicate.
