That little green and white pickup cab, doors, frame and bed are hand made out of aluminum, the guy is from Warrenton, Mo.
I saw the Poteet #7 pickup at Des Moines Good Guys. You cannot appreciate the craftsmanship until you see it in person. Just WOW !
Thanks for the pics. I can appreciate the work on the Poteet truck, but it just seems a little overdone, too many baubles and do dads. The plain jane '40 is badass!!!
Can anyone find fault with the '32 roadster in the second picture? It might not be perfect but it's ahead of whatever is in second place. Frank
Have I seen so many chopped 32 5w's that the maroon one above looks stretched? Is that stock height or stretched? It looks off to me. Maybe it's the black frame tricking my eyes. I guess it's stock.
If you look close I believe it's a model A with a 32 style windshield, but i too believe its too tall, been "Anti-Chopped"? Mick
That maroon Model A is just that: a Model A, with leaned windshield posts, '32 cowl vent, hood, grille, and gas tank. The guy went to great lengths to add the '32 look to his A. Plus he shaved the visor. Tons of subtle work. As for that green Model A pickup, there is a large thread on the HAMB elsewhere (look for "hervatin" or Wessner inspired pickup) on that beauty. Side note: it was picked as a top100 winner from street rodder, and they picked it for the same award back when it was shown in bare aluminum (Kansas City, I believe). Must have liked the workmanship to pick it twice! The owner says it was photographed by eric geisert for an upcoming feature.
That black Deuce (picture #4) that Dave Lane built makes me want to take a cold shower. That thing is freaking bad-ass.
The green pickup with white roof and firewall is just like what you'd see at the local autorama back in the day. Love that style. Great work.
Glad you Like, they are mine and where in our booth to show off all the new things we are doing with vintage powerplants Tony
It is a really neat car, but the seat is kinda funky. It was in a vendor display at Louisville last year. I went back to look at it several times to make sure I didn't miss any details. It has some really beautiful parts on it.
